Over and over again I run into the mindset with clients that highlight their belief that they can jump straight into having (a healthy body, a successful business, a loving relationship, abundance and wealth) without having to embody anything in particular and without having to do very specific actions over a sustained period of time to get themselves there.
Human beings have bought into a backwards system that go against the Laws of Creation and the concept of time and space that come from living in a physical reality.
No matter how much we want it to be or try to convince ourselves that it is…the model is not HAVE – DO – BE.
“You’ve got to be before you can do, and do before you can have.” – Zig Ziglar
Our Society of instant gratification feeds a backwards paradigm and it keeps individuals chasing a goal, dream or vision (often with a lot of desperation energy) because they believe if they just had X all their problems would be solved.
“If I just had a lot of money, then I would feel happy, important, validated and worthy.” (Projecting our unconscious needs and shadows onto money).
“If I just had the perfect partner, then I would feel loved, nurtured and supported.” (Believing that love needs to come from outside of ourselves).
“If I just lost 20 pounds, then I would feel attractive and healthy.” (Placing requirements on ourselves before we can feel a positive internal state of being).
“If I just had fill in the blank, then I’d have very few problems and my life would feel meaningful and complete.”
Our list of fill in the blank is exhausting and endless.
In my work, I share the Be-Do-Have Model on a daily basis.
When I ask clients what their intention is for what they would like to create in their lives most people want a Cosmic Amazon Prime to miraculously deliver lots of money to them to solve all of their human problems without them having to do anything in return.
Of course they don’t say those exact words (I’m summarizing) but that is the essence of their intention in what they share.
This is not only wishful thinking, it is a dangerous mode of perception that will keep a person stuck in victim mode and dis-empowerment because it sabotages opportunities for self-expression that lead to success.
How boring would life be if everything took care of itself for you and there was little opportunity to grow, expand and demonstrate who you are during your time on this planet?
We have been given a world with profound beauty, amazing gifts that each of us possess and so much opportunity to create unimaginable bliss for ourselves.
And yet most people don’t.
Why? I don’t know. I’m not able to fully wrap my mind around the answer to that question.
Please…hit reply and share with me why you can’t create the life you desire? What blocks you from doing so? And stretch beyond ‘I don’t have any money.’ To embody a specific essence requires absolutely no money and there are countless actions that we can engage in that are also free.
As part of my deep dive into The Embodied Soul to feel fully alive, deeply connected and create a life that truly matters…I’m curious why we aren’t able to do this when we have sooooo many avenues available to us (comfort, abundance, vehicles for expression, limitless connectivity, and on and on and on.) This is unlike any other time in human history and yet we are more unfulfilled than ever.
If we are being honest with ourselves, we have few excuses.
There are three simple words that could change life as we know it, if we were to really live by them.
BE – DO – HAVE
You don’t have to wait for anything to happen to you or for you before you decide to embody ‘prosperity, compassion, love, inspiration, kindness, wisdom or worth’.
As channeled by Neale Donald Walsh in the book series “Conversations with God” Book 3, Page 14 – 17 referencing the Be-Do-Have Paradigm (that he calls ‘The Greatest Secret of Life’)
“The way to set this creative process and that’s what this is…the process of creation into motion is to look at what it is you want to “have,” ask yourself what you think you would “be” if you “had” that, then go right straight to being.”
“Whatever you are being, you are creating…You will create more and more of that in your life. It will be made manifest in your physical experience. Act as if you are and you will draw it to you. What you act as if you are, you become.”
Once you embody that which you say you desire to create more of in your life (with authenticity of course, you can’t fake being kind or loving or wise to propel yourself into personal gain) then you must DO things from that state of being-ness.
If you want creative expression, consider what actions someone who was creatively expressed would DO? They might write a book, take up a hobby, paint or write poetry.
In time, the embodiment and actions will lead you to having your desire of creative expression.
If you want to have a thriving business, look at the actions that someone who was embodying success, abundance and service would DO? That might be speaking engagements, workshops, networking and building community, traveling for continued education and development and giving of their time, talent and treasures to others.
We make life so much more complicated than it needs to be.
We live in a physical reality. Creating what we want takes our participation. It also takes time, patience and a giant dose of openness and willingness on our part TO BE A PART OF THE EQUATION.
Praying for instant manifestation is to circumvent this process and to deny ourselves the opportunity to step into our Divine Self Expression.
We are here to master the Process of Creation. Not to have it done for us.
Remember these three simple words as you step in to a more empowering perspective to build a life that you absolutely love.
BE – DO – HAVE.
To your success and fulfillment!
